Through the past year of this course I have picked up a lot of key skills which I believe shall aid me when creating my FMP such as different lighting techniques which I picked up over industry week and across my video installation, not only this I was given very useful feedback on my documentary which I feel will aid me on my step forward on to producing my FMP. Ive also had a lot more practice working on pre production and research files so I believe I should be able to plan properly for what I will create.
The video I intend to create is going to follow the narrative of someone who has lost a fight or battle with someone and their journey in rising above their own failure and becoming better than what they were and becoming victorious. I intend to film this on my local park as it would set a nice backdrop for the scene, as well as this I also intend to have a training portion of the video filmed in a dimly lit room if possible which should have within it some training items such as a punching bag and or weights. The equipment I shall require at minimum will include a tripod, camera and a useful form of lighting. I may use a zoom mic to get some proper Foley sound however I was intending on allowing the backtrack to tell the story for me as I think the song can properly represent a journey. The filming should not take too long as there are only two actors at maximum required and a lot of the shots required can more than likely be done within a day, due to this I intend to put more effort within my editing and pre production whilst still making the shots meaningful and creative.
To judge my work I shall do a weekly reflective journal so that I can note down changed I have made or decisions I had to take to properly suit my idea. Not only this but I intend to view my video as an outsider looking in and try to view it as unbiased as possible.
